The University of Arkansas Rome Center is the first non-profit public entity to be associated with KlimaHouse Network Lazio. Being associated to the agency KlimaHouse, an independent certification organization, provides the possibility of free enrollment reserved for non-profit organizations, and offers support and information thanks to its rich heritage of experience concerning the design of sustainable buildings, energy efficiency and certification systems.
Last 25th October, the board of directors of KlimaHouse Lazio Network, chaired by Eng. Luca Pofi, formalized the enrollment of the University of Arkansas Rome Center as a non-profit associate. This new enrollment will represent the starting point of collaboration aimed at exchanging information on issues of architectural and urban quality, heritage buildings in historical areas and redevelopment of the suburbs, which will be the subject of a series of lectures planned for spring 2014.
Both institutions agree that the analysis and comparison of the most innovative and eco-friendly methods used in Italy and the United States are considered to be of high educational and scientific value. This will foster research, plans and projects aimed at promoting the culture of sustainability.
