The Co-operation Framework Agreement between the University of Arkansas Rome Center and the Roma Tre University has been renewed in Rome. During the meeting, Professor Mario Panizza, Dean of Roma Tre, and Professor David Vitali, Director of the Rome Center - who brought greetings from David Gearhart, Chancellor of the University of Arkansas - expressed their willingness to continue the collaboration between the two universities which was inaugurated in 2001, among its key themes is the international debate on sustainability.
Just like the previous agreements signed in the past, the present Agreement will be valid for the next three years. It aims to promote the cultural and scientific relations that are an essential tool for mutual understanding, further education and promoting know-how.
A recent example of this kind of cooperation was the international urban workshop "Flaminia Crossing" which received the collaboration of the Local Authority of Urban Transformation of the City of Rome. It was a learning experience for the students of both Universities and, at the same time, an opportunity to formulate concrete ideas of public utility with the active involvement of the local citizens.Besides those already developed, further initiatives of common interest and cultural events will be promoted and held in situ at the two universities.
